Music by Michael J. O'Connor

Michael J. O'Connor is a songwriter and fiction writer from the Bay Area whose work lives between alternative rock, literary fiction, indie folk, and dark comedy.

His songs have been compared to the emotional honesty of artists like The Mountain Goats and the Lemonheads, while his fiction explores failure, absurdity, and hope hiding underneath ordinary lives.

Whether through novels, short stories, or songs, his work highlights the people who keep going long after they should probably stop.
