Cocktail Inspiration Sarafornia
Made with THE CALISTOGA STAR AGED FINE BRANDY, CALIFORNIA
A Calistoga Distillery seasonal cocktail inspired by the story of Sam Brannan founding California. The Calistoga Star 7 year brandy mixed with locally grown strawberries, orange liqueur, and a velvet consistency.
Ingredients
- 1 3⁄4 ounces The Calistoga Star 7 year 1⁄4 ounce Orange Curaçao
- 3⁄4 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1⁄2 ounce Simple Syrup*
- 4 ea. Strawberry wedges
- 1 ea. Egg white
Garnish
- Aromatic Bitters
- Viola Flower
Method
Combine the strawberries and lemon juice in a shaker and muddle. Add the rest of the ingredients and dry shake hard for 10 seconds to begin emulsification of the egg white. Add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds until thoroughly chilled and properly diluted. Strain into a martini glass, and garnish with Angostura droplets and a viola flower.
